We provide childcare to children in a safe, supportive environment which gives their parents peace of mind.
Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in September 2018, Town Tots is our pre-school in North Walsham. We cover all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage with activities planned around the interests of the children.
The children are offered a curriculum that builds on their interests, developing their ideas and knowledge to broaden their experience. There’s opportunities to play and explore in our indoor and outdoor play areas, which have been designed to encourage children to develop their physical skills and learn about the world around them. The lively and stimulating environment actively encourages children to develop their social, physical and academic abilities, with lots of work on numbers, letter sounds and pencil skills; plus stories, craft, drama, music. Children are also introduced to simple science, information technology.
The Curiosity Approach is an accreditation that we are working towards. This is a modern day approach that fits perfectly into current changing technological times, bringing curiosity, awe and wonder into early childhood and creating the ‘thinkers and doers of the future’.
The daily routine incorporates these activities with free play and time spent outdoors to provide a happy, healthy balance, with the opportunity to spend also some time relaxing quietly.
Meal and snack times are used to create positive learning situations; children are encouraged to enjoy their food and to participate in preparing and cooking healthy meals and snacks.
Staff praise children's positive behaviours, such as waiting patiently or being kind to their friends. This supports their good behaviour and self-esteem.
