West Norfolk and Breckland Specialist Short Breaks Group sessions
Commissioned by Norfolk County Council and delivered by The Benjamin Foundation, these Specialist Short Break group sessions will be set up in three areas in phases. We are pleased to announce that the first phase of the Specialist Short Break group has opened at Chapel Green School in Attleborough, Churchill Park School in King’s Lynn, and Duke of Lancaster School in Fakenham.
We offer sessions throughout the year, including one Saturday a month and school holiday sessions. Each session is open 9.30am-3.30pm.
Age Range: 8-17 years.
A range of indoor and outdoor activities will be available. We also have the use of various leisure facilities including outdoor play areas, sensory room, kitchen (cooking), messy play and a library. There is also a good selection of games and books for the children and young people to access during their time with us.
We believe in involving children and young people in influencing the group sessions so they feel heard, valued and respected and gain a greater benefit from the sessions.
The team consists of Senior Practitioners, Practitioners and Support Workers who are fully supported by a Team Leader. All of the team are trained and experienced in working with children and young people with complex needs and disabilities.
The only route of referral for this service is via the Norfolk County Council Specialist Short Breaks Team
