Give in memory, give hope

Thank you for considering supporting The Benjamin Foundation and the young people we help to remember a loved one. Giving in memory is a meaningful way to remember and celebrate the life of somebody special.

We hope you will find comfort knowing that donations to our charity in memory of your loved one can support young people across Norfolk and Suffolk through challenges in their lives:

  • £10 can buy a pack of toiletries for a young person in one of our accommodation services.
  • £40 can fund one hour of one-to-one emotional wellbeing support for a young person.
  • £100 can pay for a Young Carer to attend an activity centre for a weekend to enjoy some respite from their caring role at home.

There are different ways you can support our charity to honour the life of somebody special:

Charity donations instead of flowers at your loved one’s funeral

Your chosen Funeral Director can support you through making arrangements for donations instead of flowers at your loved one’s funeral. We are registered with third party websites memorygiving.com muchloved.com and justgiving.com, trusted donation platforms to make giving online in memory as simple as possible. They also provide a place where friends and family can leave online tributes if they wish.

Alternatively, we can accept donations in memory by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

You don’t have to let us know that you have chosen to support our charity, but it can help us to plan and thank you appropriately if you do.

Fundraising challenges

You may wish to taking on a fundraising challenge or activity to remember somebody special, perhaps on their birthday or on a date with special importance to you. Please let us know if you are planning an activity as our fundraising team can support you.

Donations and leaving a gift in your will

You may wish to make a one-off or a regular donation in memory of your loved one. You can do this here  and leave a donation message that you are donating to remember somebody special.

Alternatively, you may wish to consider leaving a gift in your will and you can find more information about this specific act of generosity here.

Please contact us on [email protected] if you have any questions about giving in memory, or you can complete our Contact Form below.

Whatever you are able to donate, we are grateful for your support for others at a difficult time. Thank you.

A note about furniture collections

We know that many people may have the difficult task of sorting through a loved one’s home after they have passed away. When the time is right for you, we may be able to help if you wish to donate good quality, pre-loved furniture and household items. Subject to location, we can collect these free of charge.

The items you donate could be given to people in need or sold in our furniture stores to raise money to support our vital work across Norfolk and Suffolk. You can learn more about our stores here.
