We deliver a range of services to support children, young people and families facing a range of challenges. By helping at an early stage, our work aims to prevent more serious problems arising in the future.

Butterflies Emotional Well-being Service provides emotional well-being sessions in local communities for young people aged 5 to 18, which are paid for by the parent or carer. It aims to strengthen their emotional and social well-being, increase their self-esteem and help them to recognise their greatness to enable them to be better able to deal with the ups and downs of life.

Reasons for referral are usually very varied but may include general self esteem issues, anxiety, friendship issues, bereavement, and family relationship breakdown. Our Support Workers are experienced at working with different ages of children and supporting their emotional well-being by using a range of activities.

There is an initial £25 first session fee, which includes a telephone call to discuss the referral. After that, the Butterflies service costs £20 per half hour session of face to face delivery (bought in advance as a block of 6) and this encompasses all associated costs.

The service is currently available after school in four centres across Norfolk; Our Head Office in central Norwich, Aspire in Great Yarmouth, Winston Court in North Walsham, and Walmington Court in Thetford.
