Housing With Tenancy Support

Anchorage

Anchorage is one of our housing services for young people in Great Yarmouth and North Suffolk. We work with the private landlord sector to provide safe and affordable accommodation, and to offer more opportunities to help young people move confidently along their journey to independence. Anchorage supports young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 in shared accommodation.

Once a young person has moved into our houses, we support them with their tenancy, finding work and personal development to move them closer to independence. For young adults who are ready to move on from hostel accommodation, this could be the pathway to securing their own home.

Pottergate (part of Anchorage)

This new accommodation provision in Norwich City Centre is set to enable young people, who may have previously been at risk of homelessness, to take their next steps to forging successful independent lives. Pottergate supports young adults between the ages of  18 and 30.

The six self-contained flats have furnished kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces, as well as a communal social space. Residents will also receive three hours of dedicated support each week to build on their existing skills as they move towards full independent living.

Job Coach

The young people we support also have access to our job coach.

Our Job Coach supports, encourages and explores options to assist the young people we support into employment, education or training. He works with all young people accessing the housing services we deliver in Norfolk and Suffolk. Through End Youth Homelessness, the role of the Job Coach is funded by kind donations from individuals via a BBC appeal, Churchill, MVK, H&M, Eversheds.
