Chief Executive Officer

Hi, I’m Kirsty Pitcher, Chief Executive Officer at The Benjamin Foundation. I’m passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and families across Norfolk and Suffolk. Every day, I work alongside an incredible team to nurture hope, provide stability, create opportunities and help people thrive independently. At The Benjamin Foundation, we believe in empowering individuals and creating lasting change in our community. When I’m not championing our mission, I enjoy exploring our beautiful countryside, reading a book or catching up with friends and family. At The Benjamin Foundation we are always looking for new ways to connect and inspire. Let’s make an impact together!

Ali Battersby

Director of Operations (Housing and Compliance)

Ali joined TBF in May 2021, having previously worked for a Housing Association leading on their supported housing stock for 9 years.  Ali is accredited to Level 5’s with the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIHCM) and also in Leadership and Management (ILM), and also sits on the SHiP (Supported Housing in Partnership) Management committee as Treasurer.

Ali works across Norfolk and Suffolk as Director of Operations – Housing and Compliance, overseeing Housing Related Support and Hostel services, Affordable accommodation, rents and service charges and managing relationships with RP’s. Ali is committed to her role and improving lives of young people by providing affordable homes and support as well as sharing best practise throughout the organisation and sector.

Matt Garrod

Director of Operations (Housing and Homelessness)

I am responsible for a range of services encompassing our Looked After Children and Supported Accommodation provision.

I have worked supporting and caring for children and young people my entire career. Prior to joining The Benjamin Foundation I worked for Norfolk Children’s Services supporting young care leavers and working in residential children’s homes. I began my journey with The Benjamin Foundation back in 1997 when I joined our very first supported housing service as a Support Worker.

I live in Norwich with my wife and 2 young daughters. I love sport and I am a lifelong Norwich City fan. I enjoy most, spending time with family and encouraging my children to pursue their interests and dreams.

Max McGarvey-Leggett

Finance Director

Hi, I’m Max McGarvey-Leggett and I’m the Finance Director for the Benjamin Foundation.
 
I work with support from the fantastic finance team here at the Foundation to provide commercial and strategic expertise across all areas of the charity.
 
I’m ACCA qualified and have over 15 years experience working within finance across multiple sectors, including Professional Sports, Consulting and the charitable sector.
 
Outside of work I’m a keen supporter of Everton FC and like to spend as much time as possible with my wife and two children.
