BOOM! And The Dirt Was Gone!

A group of our Young Carers set to work on Wednesday the 28th May. Giving up their half term holidays to host their very own car wash fundraiser, at our Oak Street store in Norwich. The group were raising funds for their annual residential trip.

Each year, our Boom! Young Carers take a residential trip, helping them escape their day-to-day pressures in a fun and friendly environment! With plenty of activities planned, such as high ropes, canoeing and a trip to the theatre they had the opportunity to forge new friendships and create amazing memories.

'The car wash was an idea that the Young Carers came up with themselves to do to help raise the funds needed for their respite break away to Brancaster. They had a great time washing cars together and as it took place a few days after the trip itself it was so good to see the friendships they’d made while away deepen even further. Shared experiences such as these helps break down the loneliness and isolation that Young Carers are more likely to experience than their peers..'
