The Hub, King's Lynn

The Benjamin Foundation developed The Hub in partnership with Norfolk County Council Childrens Services and was opened in August 2012.

The Hub is semi-independent supported accommodation for up to six young people (predominantly 16 and 17 year olds) assessed as having high and specialist needs. The overall aim of the service is to provide safe and suitable accommodation and support for young people leaving care in Norfolk and to prepare them for independence.

Each resident has their own bedroom and can share a communal lounge and kitchen with the other residents. Staff will support each resident with school, college work, or to find work, training opportunities and cope with issues in their personal life. Staff will help build confidence and work on living skills to prepare the young person for independence.

When a young person arrives at The Hub, they are going through one of the most stressful and worrying times in their life. It is vital that the best support is given to them, and this is achieved through a dedicated staff team which provides 24/7 support
