Steven Newing House, Fakenham

Steven Newing House is our supported housing project in Fakenham that aims to address the needs of young single homeless people aged 16 – 25

Steven Newing House opened its' doors in May 2003. Since then it has accommodated nearly 200 young people.

It is managed by The Benjamin Foundation in partnership with Flagship Housing Association and North Norfolk District Council. We offer access to accommodation, support and personal development to enable young people to achieve their full potential and a greater level of independence. The centre offers 11 en-suite rooms with a communal lounge, kitchen, games room (with pool table and X- Box) and laundry facilities. There are also 4 one bedroom semi–independent ‘move-on' flats on the site.

A comprehensive support programme is implemented for each individual, tailored to help them learn the skills required to live independently.

The project works closely with our partners to ensure that all young people move on to secure and affordable accommodation. We also offer on going Tenancy Support at the move-on level to ensure the transition to full independence is as smooth as possible.
