We provide positive activities for young people who may have limited opportunities in life. We give young people a safe, supportive environment where our staff will give them opportunities to learn, socialise and be a positive part of their community.

We’re proud to be part of Youth West – a partnership of seven organisations, led by YMCA Norfolk, working together to establish a network of youth clubs across West Norfolk to provide a range of activities for young people aged 11 to 18.

These open access youth clubs also aim to build up a centralised training programme for people wishing to get involved in youth work as a paid employee or a volunteer.

As well as YMCA Norfolk, we are working with the following partners:

• SWAN Youth Centre
• The Garage
• West Norfolk MIND
• St Edmunds
• National Youth Theatre

We offer a free youth club for young people in two areas of West Norfolk:

Docking Ripper Memorial Hall, Fridays 5pm – 7pm (term time only)

Upcoming activities at Docking include:

  • Friday 26th April – Craft activity and jewellery making
  • Friday 3rd May – Outdoor/indoor games (depending on the weather)
  • Friday 10th May – Pizza making
  • Friday 17th May – Make your own music video/short film
  • Friday 24th May – Music session

Hunstanton Community Centre, Mondays 6pm – 8pm (year round)

Look out for details of school holiday activities too.

Youth West, is a Youth Investment Fund programme and is funded jointly by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Big Lottery Fund.

If you’re interested in attending one of the above youth clubs, or if you would like to enquire about volunteering to support the Youth West activities, please get in touch.
