As part of their year of support for our charity, specialist pipework contractor Pruce Newman’s latest fundraising activity was a hugely successful Karting event.

Taking place on 4th April in partnership with MacKinnon Construction, teams were invited to Ellough Park Raceway near Beccles for an evening of light-hearted karting competition. With plenty of support and competitive spirit with teams taking part from local businesses, a raffle and sponsorship, Wymondham-based Pruce Newman raised over £3,300 at this event, which further boosts their fantastic fundraising support for our charity.

Gareth Headland, Marketing and Communications Manager at Pruce Newman says:

“It’s amazing what can be achieved when local businesses come together to raise money for charity, and the karting event at Ellough Park Raceway is no exception. We’ve had superb support from our staff, our friends at Mackinnon, and our incredibly generous customers – raising a huge amount of money and thoroughly enjoying ourselves at the same time!

“We’re proud that Pruce Newman are able to support The Benjamin Foundation in the vital work that they do across our region, and we’re looking forward to our next fundraising events in May.”

Pruce Newman’s previous fundraising events for our charity include a Zumbathon and a quiz night, both of which were well-supported. In May, a group of employees will tackle 10 Peaks in 10 Hours in the Lake District, and a few tickets are still available for an evening of live music which the company is hosting near Norwich on 11th May.

Chris Elliott, Marketing and Fundraising Manager at The Benjamin Foundation says:

“This was another brilliant fundraising event organised by our supporters Pruce Newman. In partnership with MacKinnon Construction and with the event supported and enjoyed by local businesses, they raised a brilliant amount of money. This will help our charity to bring hope, opportunity, stability and independence to local children, young people and families who are going through difficult times.”

Chris continues: “Thank you Pruce Newman for a fantastic evening and your continued great support for our charity.”
