Trustee since 2013
Tell us about your career:
My background is in marketing, having trained with Kraft Foods selling cold drinks across the Middle East! Then I moved into e-commerce and have worked to help companies develop their online channels, including Screwfix, Carphone Warehouse and the Shop Direct Group. More recently I have worked on Digital Strategy for companies, like Hertz Europe and Dulux.
Why did you decide to become a Trustee?
I became a Trustee in the hope I can contribute and support in some way. I have visited many of our services since I joined and the more I learn about the organisation’s work, the more impressed I become by the dedicated staff and the vital help they provide to young people. Also, it is clear that there is so much more to be done…
Hopefully, I can use my experience to help support the development of the strategic plan for the next exciting phase of The Benjamin Foundation’s growth and evolution.
Tell us a bit about yourself:
Father of two, fair gardener, moderate DIY-er, reasonable cook!
Last year, I learnt to swim properly in order to compete in The Norwich Sprint Triathlon and this year I cycled the Norwich 50.
I have also recently become the Chairman of my local Scouts & Cub Group – we are currently completing a conservation project, clearing brambles and planting a hedgerow including rare Norfolk fruit trees.
