Harford Manor School Explore Homelessness
We were delighted to be invited to Harford Manor School last week to talk about the issue of homelessness.
The school in Norwich supports children aged 3 to 19 years with complex needs. Teacher, Mr Frost introduced a project about 'home' and, as part of this, the group of students also looked at the issue of homelessness.
Earlier in the day, the class had spent time sitting outside with no books, or any other items to get a flavour of what it would be like outside with nothing to do. We talked about our work and showed a video of one young person we have helped to help them understand more about how we help local young people who have faced a life living on the streets. There were lots of good questions about this from the class, which we were pleased to answer.
Some of the students were also interested to know about our Sleep Out events and even designed posters.
Thank you to Mr Frost and the students of Harford Manor School for exploring the very important issue of homelessness and for inviting us to be part of the day.
