Join us at the Stody Estate Classic Vehicle Day

On Sunday 22nd May, Stody Lodge Gardens will welcome a wide range of classic vehicle lovers for its fourth Stody Classic Vehicle Day. All classic vehicles, including coaches, tractors and motorbikes, are invited to this wonderful day of motors, spectacular gardens and delicious homemade teas served by The Benjamin Foundation.

Stody’s sandy soil provides perfect well-drained parking for classic cars and lots of space for bring-your-own picnics in open parkland. Visitors are encouraged to admire the fantastic range of classic vehicles on display before immersing themselves in the renowned colour and scent of Stody’s magical rhododendron and azalea gardens.

Once again, the delicious homemade teas in the gardens will be provided by our charity, from which we take all the proceeds. The Benjamin Foundation has supported children, young people and families across Norfolk and Suffolk for over 25 years, supporting individuals overcome big challenges in their lives such as emotional wellbeing and youth homelessness and to support them into finding self-confidence, stability and independence.

Joshua Antcliff, Fundraising Officer at The Benjamin Foundation, said: “We are delighted to be returning to Stody Lodge to sell tea and cakes to visitors to the popular Classic Car Day on 22nd May. Money raised at the event can help local children and young people who are supported by The Benjamin Foundation to finally feel hopeful of a better future. We are grateful for the continued support of the MacNicol family and the Stody Estate team, as well as all those who are kindly donating cakes and other baked items to be enjoyed by visitors. Here’s to a fantastic event!”

Kate MacNicol, of Stody Lodge Gardens, said: “Since our inaugural Stody Classic Vehicle Day in 2018, this event has gone from strength to strength, with a bumper turnout in May 2021. We are so grateful to the excellent volunteers from The Benjamin Foundation who are integral to the smooth running of the event and we hope they will have a very successful time fundraising in the tearooms.”

If anybody would like to donate a cake or baked item to be sold at Stody Lodge on 22nd May to raise money for The Benjamin Foundation, please contact Joshua on [email protected].

Gates to the car park open at 11am and vehicles are welcome to arrive from this time. The gardens will open at 12pm and close at 5pm.
