Hats for Hope is one of the ways your school, college, workplace or community group can support our Summer of Hope appeal.

67% of young people surveyed in January 2021 by Young Minds believed that the pandemic will have a long-term negative effect on their mental health.

We have launched our Summer of Hope appeal to help more children and young people in Norfolk and Suffolk to improve their mental health and overcome their challenges around confidence and self-esteem following the pandemic. Your support can help to create stronger, empowered individuals who finally feel supported to cope with their unique challenges, and Hats for Hope is a great way for you to get involved in the Summer of Hope this July, enabling more young people to improve their emotional wellbeing and overcome their challenges around gaining employment, training and creating brighter futures.

About Hats for Hope

We are asking you to invite your school, college, community group or workplace to wear their finest, grandest, funniest or favourite hat for a day in return for a donation to the Summer of Hope appeal.

You could even have a prize for the best headwear, or challenge people to get creative and make their own. With the end of the Summer term coming up, this could be a great end of term activity for the final days before the Summer holiday. Your collective donations could mean a brighter future for the young people we support.

We would love to see your photos too! Tag us on social media @charitytbf and we will share as many as we can!

Your Hats for Hope support could help more local young carers, like Mercy, aged 10.

I like the support because it has helped me cope with worries and believe in myself.
