We were thrilled to be chosen by Norwich and Norfolk CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) as the charity for the 2019 Great British Beer Festival – Winter, which was held at The Halls, Norwich from the 19th to 23rd February.
Supported by a whole army of enthusiastic volunteers, we spent the week talking about the work our charity does to support local children, young people and families, and collecting donations and unused tokens from festival visitors.
We’re pleased to announce that this raised over £5,200!
Rachel Hogg, Communications Coordinator says: “The Great British Beer Festival – Winter was an amazing opportunity for us. It was a fantastic week which raised a huge amount of money to support our work.
“Whether it’s the prevention of youth homelessness, helping families to build stronger relationships or providing positive activities for young people with limited opportunities in life, our work brings hope, opportunity, stability and independence to the people we support. We are so very grateful to The Great British Beer Festival – Winter and to the Norwich and Norfolk CAMRA branch for nominating us.”

A huge thank you to Norwich and Norfolk CAMRA, everybody involved with The Great British Beer Festival – Winter, our volunteers who supported us throughout the week, and to festival visitors.

Staff praise children's positive behaviours, such as waiting patiently or being kind to their friends. This supports their good behaviour and self-esteem.
