We are pleased to announce we are bringing our popular Butterfly Treasure Hunt event back to the city for a third year and we are calling on people to get together to enjoy a fun summer evening in support of our work.

Taking place on Friday 26th June 2020, the Butterfly Treasure Hunt is now a regular feature in our events calendar and has proven to be a firm favourite among families, friends and local businesses, with teams competing against each other to explore Norwich city centre while solving clues to unlock a conundrum.

The 2020 event will conclude at The Eagle pub on Newmarket Road, where teams can relax and enjoy a BBQ before the winning team is announced.

Inspired by our butterfly logo, the popular fundraising event saw over 120 people take part in 2019, raising almost £4,000 to support our work with local children, young people and families.

Chris Elliott, Marketing and Fundraising Manager for The Benjamin Foundation says: “We are delighted by the continued popularity of our Butterfly Treasure Hunt; it’s a fun, summer event where teams can enjoy a bit of healthy competition while exploring our fine city, solving clues and raising money to support local people.”

Clapham and Collinge Solicitors are once again the main event sponsors. Marketing Manager, Louis Hilldrup-Boorman says: ‘‘The Benjamin Foundation is a charity close to our hearts; so we are delighted to sponsor the Butterfly Treasure Hunt for a third consecutive year and support this excellent city centre summer fundraiser once again.”

“As long term supporters of The Benjamin Foundation we are very proud to have supported them with a number of fundraising activities. We’re delighted to demonstrate our continued support to this fantastic local charity; and the services they offer to our community.”

Chris Elliott continues: “We’re encouraging groups of friends, family and colleagues to join us on Friday 26th June to make this year’s Butterfly Treasure Hunt even bigger and better! It’s a fun way to spend an evening together – there’s a BBQ at The Eagle pub included in the ticket price and ‘treasure’ for the winning team.”

We support local children, young people and families to deal with challenges in their lives. Whether it’s the prevention of youth homelessness, providing emotional wellbeing support, or providing positive activities to young people who have limited opportunities in life, their work brings hope, opportunity, stability and independence to the people they support. Money raised at this year’s Butterfly Treasure Hunt will support this work.

There is an Early Bird price of £23 for adults and £15 for children for those booking by Friday 20th March.  A BBQ at The Eagle is included in the ticket price.  The deadline to book is Monday 15th June 2020.

Local businesses can also be involved with this year’s event by becoming clue sponsors. Please contact Chris Elliott on 07825 130003 to learn more.

Staff praise children's positive behaviours, such as waiting patiently or being kind to their friends. This supports their good behaviour and self-esteem.
