Funders Yorkshire Building Society win Business Charity Award for their End Youth Homelessness Partnership

Funded by Yorkshire Building Society and delivered by End Youth Homelessness and partner charities across the UK, the Rent Deposit Scheme helps young people who are now ready to live independently to gain access to the private rented sector. The scheme and Yorkshire Building Society are now proud winners of a Business Charity Award.

Recognised as an outstanding partnership between a company in the financial services sector and a UK charity, the award win was announced on 27th May.

We are proud to deliver the Rent Deposit Scheme locally and we send our congratulations and thanks to both Yorkshire Building Society and End Youth Homelessness for their amazing support in enabling us to deliver this work in Norfolk and Suffolk.

Matt Garrod says: “This is brilliant news and deserved recognition of the success of the Rent Deposit Scheme. I’m very proud that The Benjamin Foundation has delivered this service.”

The Benjamin Foundation has given me a sense of confidence and comfort. I feel a sense of normality when I speak to the staff but also in the independence I am given; they are always there for me and my needs. I have learnt to not be so stressed, anxious and depressed about certain situations, I have learnt a lot about money and budgeting. I now feel so much more confident about myself and the fact that I can now move forward in life.
