These short videos really bring our work to life as they show some of our front line staff and the people they support explaining how we help them.
Can we afford the cuts?
We made this short film in January 2016 to highlight our work and to give a voice to the young people we help and the staff who support them. Spending cuts will be made by local authorities so we wanted to highlight how we use their money and that we feel this avoids much higher costs in future years. This film was recorded in our supported accommodation services in North Walsham and Fakenham.
Get an Insight into our work with Young Carers.
We support over 300 young people who are caring for a family member. We meet groups of young carers every three weeks in term time to give them a break for caring duties. They can also share any concerns with our staff and other young people who are dealing with the same issue. In this film the group are discussing the benefits of a summer trip. We don't receive funding for holiday activities but we hope to use funds raised by ourselves or supporters to provide this for some young carers.
The video was kindly compiled by Hugh J Boswell Insurance as part of their application on our behalf to the Aviva Community Fund in 2015. Unfortunately the bid didn't receive enough votes to gain funding.
A new office and reflections on our early days
Local channel Mustard TV reported on our new Norwich head office in April 2015. Richard Draper, our founder, spoke about setting up our charity and the developments that led to us moving into Norwich.
Thank you Mustard TV for letting us use this film on our website.
