Butterfly Walk success at Sandringham
On Sunday we held our main summer fundraising event, The Butterfly Walk, at Sandringham Country Park in West Norfolk. The event takes its name from our bright butterfly logo and involved a three mile stroll through the park and woodland following the trail of quiz signs we'd set up. In addition we ran a scavenger hunt and a separate set of butterflies had letters on with an anagram to be solved.
Our main sponsors Clapham and Collinge Solicitors joined us to help out and officially opened the event too. In the ribbon-cutting photo Jade Tinney (centre) and Andrea Smith (right) joined our Marketing Manager Chris Elliott.
Buy Local Norfolk joined us too and ran our tombola, another good example of why we're proud to belong to the group which champions Norfolk organisations.
With a great setting and perfect weather over 200 people took part plus lot of dogs too! We raised £2,400 and some of this will be used to support our King’s Lynn based services and in particular Butterfly House where we support vulnerable young adults some of whom have learning difficulties. Some of these young people joined us and they enjoyed their day out.
We'd like to give a big shout out to all the sponsors, volunteers, staff and others who made the event a success. It was lovely meeting everyone who took part.
