Town Tots spread some joy at Rose Meadow Care Home

Children from Town Tots Pre-School in North Walsham have recently been enjoying getting out and about in their local community with visits to Rose Meadow Care Home.

Groups of up to six three year olds at a time from Town Tots have been meeting the ladies and gentleman of Rose Meadow. They have played games, such as skittles and hoopla, and enjoyed a snack together as part of the new scheme, which has brought much delight to both parties.

There has also been plenty for our young people to talk about following the visits, which bring mutual benefits to both groups, including improving memory, strength and general wellbeing, with one young person describing the care home as "a beautiful house of Nannies and Grandads."

Following a successful trial, Town Tots hopes to continue with monthly visits to engage the two groups and bridge an intergenerational gap.

Thank you to Town Tots and Rose Meadow for embracing a great opportunity to bring people together.
