We want to end youth homelessness and we’re tackling the problem locally by providing a home and support to 180 young people in Norfolk and Suffolk every night. We give them a stable home and the skills they need so they can leave us and forge an independent life.

Draper House in Ipswich is a supervised accommodation centre, staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week for young people with high, specialist needs who require a bespoke support package to support them with the transition from a children’s or foster home towards independent living.

Our staff team provide a minimum of 1-to-1 support to help each young person learn important life skills and build their confidence. They also support each resident with school, college work, or to find work, or training opportunities, as well as coping with issues in their personal life and the challenges which they may encounter.

Draper House provides the young people with their own bedroom, a shared bathroom, and a communal kitchen to encourage social interaction and engagement. The aim is that by the time they near the age of 18, each young person is better prepared for their future.

Referrals for Draper House are via Suffolk County Council’s Central Resources Team.
