Children, Young People and Families
We have a broad range of services that we deliver to support children, young people and families. These services range from straightforward childcare to support for heart breaking issues, such as a breakdown in family relationships.
The common thread in our work is that every service has been developed and driven by the needs of people in our region. The roots of our charity lie in delivering youth work, which started in rural North Norfolk in the 1990s, so we have a long track record in this field.
Since that time we have grown the range of services and the geographical spread, and today they extend from King's Lynn to Great Yarmouth, and North Norfolk to Thetford and Ditchingham.
In 2016 we started working in Suffolk, and this included work in schools in Bury St Edmunds.
Every service we deliver has at its core our ambition to provide the people we support with hope, opportunity, stability and independence.
Our Services for Children, Young People and Families
For children we have a day nursery in Ditchingham and pre and post school clubs in North Walsham.
Our Time for You and Parent Support Advisers provide support to help strengthen family relationships by working with parents and children. Some of this work takes place in schools where we support children with issues including bullying.
In Thetford we have a youth and family centre called Meet Up. This allows young people in the 10-24 year old age group to access leisure facilities and advice in an informal setting. Part of this work helps young adults find a job or training or get back into education. There's also a weekly parents' group.
