We want to end youth homelessness and we’re tackling the problem locally by providing a home and support to 180 young people in Norfolk and Suffolk every night. We give them a stable home and the skills they need so they can leave us and forge an independent life.

Steven Newing House is our supported accommodation centre in Fakenham for young single homeless people aged 16 – 25. We manage the centre in partnership with Flagship Housing Association and North Norfolk District Council to provide access to accommodation, support and personal development, enabling young people to achieve their full potential and a greater level of independence.

The centre offers 11 en-suite rooms with a communal lounge, kitchen, games room and laundry facilities. There are also 4 one bedroom semi–independent ‘move-on’ flats on the site. A comprehensive support programme is implemented for each young person, tailored to help them learn the skills required to live independently.

The project works closely with our partners to ensure that all young people move on to secure and affordable accommodation. When young people are ready to move on we also offer on going tenancy support to ensure the transition to full independence is as smooth as possible.

Quote Marks Left I enjoy doing it. It's a good cause. I can't run marathons or jump out of planes so I do this. The money raised provides ongoing help. It equips young people for life after The Benjamin Foundation.
